I am a Leaving Cert (A Level) student living in Dublin, Ireland. Ever since I received my first book of poetry by A. A. Milne as a child I have devoted myself to the world of literature. Reading, writing short stories and even just the sheer bibliophilic joy in collecting books has always been a large part of my life. English has forever been my favourite subject in school and I hope to study it in a top university when I am older, before pursuing a career in publishing. This a blog that will hopefully help showcase my journey.
My taste in literature is vast. I love literary fiction, poetry, classics, memoirs, academic texts and all in between. Favourite writers of mine include George Orwell, Lionel Shriver, John Green, Eavan Boland, Roald Dahl, the Brontes, and Daphne du Maurier. Books of Ordinary Madness gets its name from a Bukowski book of short stories.
